Back to the Future Part II & III came out on the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1990, developed by Beam Software and published by LJN. It was one of those licensed games from the era that tried to cover a lot of ground, blending platforming and adventure elements into a single cartridge. You control Marty McFly across several time periods, jumping between 1955, 1985, and 2015. The main goal is to find objects that are out of place in time and return them to their proper eras. Gameplay involves screen by screen exploration, avoiding hazards like Biff's henchmen or erratic weather, and using items like the hoverboard in certain sections. The pacing is uneven, and some jumps feel imprecise, which adds to the challenge. It feels like a race against the clock, even when you're just trying to land on the next platform.
