Game Overview

Back to the Future Part III on MS-DOS came out in 1991, developed by Probe Software Ltd. It was part of that wave of movie tie-ins that tried to capture the magic of the films, often with mixed results. The game drops you right into the Wild West setting of the third film, and it feels very much like a product of its time, with chunky graphics and a straightforward approach to adaptation.

You control Marty McFly as he explores Hill Valley in 1885, screen by screen. The main goal is to help Doc Brown repair the DeLorean and get back to the future, which involves gathering parts and solving simple puzzles. Signature mechanics include avoiding obstacles like cacti and outlaws, interacting with characters from the movie, and navigating environments that range from the town saloon to the railroad tracks. The pacing is brisk but the difficulty can spike unexpectedly, especially during action sequences. It feels like a charming, if sometimes frustrating, slice of early '90s gaming nostalgia.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
