You control a team of neighborhood kids, choosing your roster from a cast of recurring characters, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. The main objective is to win football games against other backyard teams across a season or in quick exhibition matches. Signature mechanics include using special power ups that appear on the field, which can temporarily boost a player's speed or passing ability, and executing trick plays that require timed button inputs for bigger gains. The pacing is fast, with short quarters and arcade style rules that keep matches from dragging. It feels like a messy, unpredictable game of tag with a football tucked under your arm.
