Football Glory is one of those MS-DOS soccer games that feels like it was made by someone who played way too much Sensible Soccer—and I mean that in the best way possible. The top-down action is fast and chaotic, but with way more tricks than you'd expect. Overhead kicks? Backheels? Yeah, they're here, and they take some practice to pull off without looking ridiculous.
Passing feels familiar if you've played Sensible Soccer, but there's a bit more control—you can actually place the ball where you want instead of just blasting it forward. Little touches like the referee running around on-screen and the replay zoom make it feel surprisingly polished for a '90s DOS game. And the kit customization? Way deeper than it needed to be, which is exactly why I love it.
It's got that arcade-y vibe where you can just pick it up and play, but there's enough depth here to keep you tweaking your tactics. Definitely a hidden gem if you're into classic soccer games.
