Download Football Glory_Disk1 ROM – Amiga Game
1994 Amiga soccer game with top-down gameplay. Features club and international competitions, skill-based moves like overhead kicks, and precise passing controls. Includes on-screen referee, replay zooms, and kit customization.
Game Overview
Football Glory_Disk1 is one of those Amiga soccer games that feels like Sensible Soccer’s slightly more chaotic cousin. The overhead view keeps things fast, but what surprised me was how many wild moves you can pull off—overhead kicks, backheels, even sliding tackles that somehow look cooler than they should. Took me a few matches to stop accidentally launching the ball into the stands, though.
Passing’s a bit trickier than in Sensi—you’ve got to hold the button longer to place it just right, which means more control but also more hilarious misfires at first. And yeah, there’s a referee who actually shows up on-screen to ruin your fun when you foul someone, which felt weirdly advanced for the time. Oh, and the kit editor? Way deeper than I expected—spent way too long making my team look like a neon disaster.
It’s got all the usual tournaments, clubs, and national teams, but the real fun is in those replays where you finally nail an overhead kick and the camera zooms in like it’s some cinematic masterpiece. Definitely a hidden gem if you like your soccer games a little rough around the edges.
