Bakugan: Battle Brawlers - Battle Trainer came out for the Nintendo DS in 2010, developed by Magic Pockets. It was part of that wave of tie-in games that tried to capture the energy of the anime and toy line, something plenty of kids were into around that time on the handheld.

You control a Battle Brawler, choosing your team of Bakugan creatures and heading into turn-based matches. The main goal is to defeat opponents by rolling your Bakugan onto Gate Cards to trigger battles, using ability cards to tip the odds in your favor. Two big mechanics are timing your physical roll just right for better positioning, and managing your hand of power-up and attribute cards to counter whatever your rival plays. The pacing is fairly brisk, with matches that don't overstay their welcome, though some later fights can get tricky if your deck isn't tuned well. It feels satisfying when a well-planned card combo turns a close match in your favor.
