Batman Returns on the Amiga is exactly what you'd hope for—a solid side-scrolling brawler where you punch your way through the Red Triangle Circus Gang. At first, it feels like a straightforward beat'em up, but then you realize some enemies won’t go down with just fists. That’s when the Batarangs and Batropes come in handy, though you’ve gotta use them sparingly.

What keeps it interesting is how it mixes things up. One minute you’re brawling through alleys, the next you’re jumping across rooftops chasing Catwoman or navigating the sewers like some kind of dark, grimy obstacle course. The platforming bits can be tricky, but it’s a nice break from just mashing the punch button.

It’s not perfect—some of the jumps feel a little stiff—but if you grew up with the movie or just love old-school Batman games, this one’s got enough charm to make it worth playing.
