Batman Returns on SNES is basically the movie turned into a side-scrolling beat 'em up—you're punching your way through waves of creepy clown thugs in snowy Gotham streets. The sprites are surprisingly detailed for a 16-bit game, especially Batman's cape animation when he jumps. At first I kept getting wrecked by those guys on roller skates, but once you get the timing down for counters, you feel like an actual ninja. And yeah, you fight both Catwoman and Penguin, though the final boss battle is... let's just say it involves a duck-themed vehicle.
It's got that classic Konami brawler feel, but with way more batarangs.
