Play Battle Cross Online
Tiny hoverbikes, chaotic tracks, and five friends crammed on a couch—drop bombs, dodge cannonballs, and laugh as someone gets yeeted into a pinball bumper mid-race.

Battle Cross came out on the Super Nintendo in 1994, developed by A-Max. It was one of those mid-lifecycle SNES games that didn't get a ton of attention, but it had a specific kind of charm if you were into combat racing. It felt like a scrappier, more aggressive cousin to some of the brighter, more polished racers of the time.
You control a small hoverbike on a fixed track, racing against other bikes. The main goal is to finish first, but you spend just as much time trying to wreck your opponents. You can drop bombs behind you or fire a forward cannon shot; the tracks are filled with bumpers and obstacles that send you spinning if you hit them. The pacing is fast and the collisions are constant, making every race feel like a messy brawl that just happens to be moving forward. It feels like controlled chaos from start to finish.
