Play Battle of Olympus, The (Europe) Online
Swing your sword through Greek myths as Orpheus—dodging traps, taking cryptic advice from gods, and getting wrecked by brutal platforming sections when you mistime a jump. The music’s all eerie lyres and dungeon echoes, matching those underworld vibes perfectly.

Game Overview
Ever played Zelda II and wished it had more Greek mythology? That’s basically The Battle of Olympus—you play as Orpheus, hacking through monsters and dodging traps to rescue his girlfriend from the underworld. It’s got that same mix of side-scrolling combat and exploration, but with gods tossing you power-ups and cryptic hints instead of fairies.
At first, the controls feel a little stiff (this is an NES game), but once you get used to the rhythm of swinging your sword and jumping over pits, it’s weirdly satisfying. Some of the platforming bits will absolutely wreck you if you’re not careful, though. The music’s surprisingly moody for an 8-bit game, too—lots of lyre sounds and ominous dungeon tunes.
Just don’t expect Hades to go down without a fight.
