Ever played Zelda II and wished it had more Greek mythology? That’s basically The Battle of Olympus in a nutshell. You play as Orpheus, wandering through ancient Greece—olive groves, crumbling temples, the occasional cyclops—trying to rescue your girlfriend from Hades. The gods chip in with upgrades, but don’t expect them to do the heavy lifting.
It’s got that classic NES difficulty, where you’ll die a lot at first until you memorize where the enemies pop out. The music’s oddly catchy for something this punishing, though. If you’re into old-school platformers with a side of mythology, this one’s a solid deep cut.
