Bionicle Heroes on the Game Boy Advance came out in 2006, developed by Amaze Entertainment. It was a solid action title for the system, arriving late in the handheld's life when polished, straightforward games were still appreciated. You control one of the Toa Inika, each with their own elemental attacks, moving through levels inspired by the Bionicle universe.
You guide your chosen hero through linear stages, clearing out Rahi beasts and robotic enemies with your primary weapon. The main goal is to advance from one end of the level to the other, defeating bosses and occasionally solving simple block puzzles. Signature mechanics include switching between Toa on the fly to use different elemental powers, and collecting Lego-like studs that act as both currency and a health indicator. The pacing is brisk, and the difficulty is manageable, making it easy to pick up for short sessions. It feels satisfying to blast through enemies with colorful attacks and see the levels unfold.
