Play Bionicle Heroes (U)(Legacy) Online
Swapping between fire blasts and ice shots as you plow through waves of enemies feels way better than a LEGO spin-off has any right to—just watch out for those cramped corners where the camera freaks out.

Bionicle Heroes on the Nintendo DS came out in 2006, developed by Traveller's Tales. It was part of that wave of handheld games based on popular toy lines, and it fit right in with the action titles of the era. The DS had a lot of experimental stuff, but this one stuck to straightforward run-and-gun action, which was a solid choice for quick play sessions.
You control one of the Toa heroes, switching between six elemental forms on the fly to solve puzzles and defeat specific enemies. The main goal is to blast through screen after screen of robotic foes, clearing areas to progress. Signature mechanics include using the touch screen to aim your shots and tapping icons to swap powers, like switching to stone form to break barriers or using air to cross gaps. The pacing is fast, though the fixed camera angles can make some fights awkward in tight spaces. It feels satisfying to mow down rows of enemies with well-timed elemental attacks.
