Play Blues Brothers, The (Europe) Online
Dodge cops, punch nuns, and climb ladders in pixel Chicago while that sweet chiptune blues plays—just don’t get too attached to your lives, it’s an NES game after all.

I picked up The Blues Brothers for the NES back in 1991, a game developed by Titus Interactive. It was one of those licensed titles that showed up on the console, based on the movie but with its own take on the action. The NES had plenty of games like this, straightforward platformers that tried to capture a bit of the film's spirit without too much complexity.
You control either Jake or Elwood Blues, moving through urban stages, jumping across platforms, and avoiding obstacles. The main goal is to recover the band's instruments, which are scattered across different levels. You punch enemies, dodge police cars, and sometimes use a limited supply of grenades to clear your path. The game is screen by screen, so you advance methodically, but the difficulty can spike quickly with precise jumps and aggressive enemies. It feels like a relentless dash through a chaotic city, and finishing a stage gives a real sense of relief.
