Play Blues Brothers, The Online

You play as Jake or Elwood sprinting through Chicago smashing cop cars and dodging SWAT teams—sometimes stopping to blast enemies with a harmonica because this game doesn’t care about making sense. The pixel art nails their deadpan cool even when everything’s exploding.

Game Overview

Man, Blues Brothers on NES is like someone took the movie, cranked it to 11, and turned it into a side-scrolling riot. You're either Jake or Elwood (or both if you've got a buddy), sprinting through Chicago smashing cars, dodging cops, and occasionally pulling out a harmonica to blast enemies—because why not? The soundtrack's full of those bluesy riffs you'd expect, and the pixel art somehow nails the guys' deadpan cool even when everything's exploding.

It's hard, though—like, "throw your controller at the couch but immediately pick it back up" hard. One level has you outrunning a SWAT team in a mall, another turns into a straight-up shootout. Feels like Contra if Contra had more sax solos and fewer aliens. And yeah, you'll absolutely have "Soul Man" stuck in your head for a week. Classic NES jank, but in the best way possible.
