Brawl Brothers came out on the Super Nintendo in 1992, developed by Jaleco. It was part of that wave of side scrolling beat 'em ups that filled arcades and living rooms back then, sitting right alongside titles like Final Fight and Streets of Rage. You pick from a roster of fighters, each with their own style, and just start swinging.
You control one of two characters on screen, clearing room after room of thugs and mutants. The main goal is straightforward: fight from the left side of the screen to the right, take out the boss, and move on. You have basic attacks, throws, and special moves that drain a bit of health, which gives you options when you're surrounded. The pacing is relentless; enemies pour in from both sides, and the difficulty doesn't let up much. It feels like a constant, satisfying scramble to stay on your feet.
