The gameplay mixes overhead exploration, frequent random encounters, and turn-based combat where you manage a party of characters, each with unique skills. A key feature is Ryu's ability to use dragon transformations in battle, consuming MP to unleash powerful attacks. The pacing is deliberate, with plenty of backtracking and some grinding expected, but the world feels cohesive and worth exploring. It feels like a thoughtful, portable take on a classic Japanese RPG formula.
