Bubble Bobble Revolution came out for the Nintendo DS in 2005, published by Rising Star Games. It was part of that early wave of DS titles trying to blend classic arcade ideas with the system's new hardware, especially the touchscreen. It didn't try to reinvent the wheel, just brought a familiar concept to a portable format.
You control one of the two bubble-blowing dinosaurs, Bub or Bob, working through a series of single-screen levels. The main goal is to trap every enemy on the screen in bubbles and then pop them to clear the stage. The signature mechanics are the classic bubble trapping and popping, plus a new touchscreen feature that lets you draw paths for your bubbles to follow, which adds a layer of planning. The pacing is quick, and the difficulty ramps up steadily as you advance. It feels satisfying to set up a chain of pops and watch the fruit bonuses drop.
