Play Bubsy II on Snes Online
Bubsy II throws you into a trippy mansion where portals fling you between pyramids and jazz landscapes while you bounce off enemies like a hyperactive bobcat. The open level order sounds cool until you hit that brutal airplane section—good luck not crashing.

Bubsy II came out in 1994 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, published by Accolade. It was part of that wave of early 90s platformers trying to stand out with a mascot, and it definitely had its own look and feel, even if it didn't always click with everyone.
You control Bubsy, a bobcat, and your goal is to collect yarn balls scattered across surreal, themed levels like ancient Egypt and a futuristic city. The game introduces a light crafting system where you use collected yarn to build vehicles, like a rocket or an airplane, to access new areas. The pacing is frantic, and the difficulty can spike unexpectedly, especially during the vehicle sections which require precise control. Playing it feels like navigating a chaotic, colorful cartoon where every jump could lead to a surprise or a sudden demise.
