Play Captain Planet and the Planeteers Online
Play as eco-warriors from the 90s cartoon - ride vehicles, throw elemental powers, and summon Captain Planet (who dies in one hit because heroes are fragile). Janky but weirdly charming.

Captain Planet and the Planeteers came out for the NES in 1990, developed by Chris Gray Enterprises. It was one of those many licensed games from the era, trying to capture the spirit of a Saturday morning cartoon on the console. You don't hear much about it now, but it had its moment alongside other platformers and action titles of the time.
You control one of the five Planeteers, each with a unique elemental power like earth, wind, or fire, which you use to attack enemies and solve simple puzzles. The main goal is to stop polluters across different stages, moving screen by screen, jumping on platforms, and avoiding hazards. You can also summon Captain Planet for a short power boost, though he's surprisingly vulnerable. The game moves at a decent clip, but some sections feel repetitive, and the difficulty can spike unexpectedly. Playing it feels like a straightforward, slightly clunky effort to turn a TV show into something interactive.
