Carrier Aces came out for the Super Nintendo in 1995, developed by Syscom. You control a pilot from a World War II aircraft carrier, taking off from the deck to complete missions against enemy forces. The main goal is to survive sorties, shoot down enemy planes, and successfully return to your carrier to land. Key mechanics include managing your fuel and ammunition carefully, engaging in dogfights that require precise aiming, and attempting those tense, unforgiving carrier landings where a bad approach means losing the plane.
