Play Catch Em Online
Chasing those little pixel dudes gets wild fast—they juke like they know your every move, and suddenly you're slamming arrow keys like your life depends on it. That high score taunts you until you boot it up again.
I first encountered Catch Em as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, a simple title from that era of straightforward, single-screen challenges. It was developed by a small team whose name escapes me now, but it fit right in with the kind of quick, pick-up-and-play experiences that were common before sprawling adventures took over.
You control a small character, often just a colored block or a simple sprite, whose only job is to chase down other, faster-moving sprites that bounce around the enclosed playfield. The main objective is to catch every last one of them before a timer runs out or your patience does. The signature mechanics involve careful prediction of their erratic, bouncing paths and quick, decisive movements to cut them off; one wrong turn and the whole screen descends into chaos. The pacing is relentless, and the difficulty spikes sharply as more targets are added. It feels like a tense game of digital tag where you are always one step behind.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
