You play as Davy, who—after chasing a rabbit down a hole—gets turned into this stretchy-tongued alien version of himself. Suddenly, flicking your tongue across the screen to grab enemies and fling them like projectiles feels totally natural.
The real fun comes from figuring out all the weird ways you can use that tongue. Need to cross a gap? Latch onto a pole and swing. Want to reach a high ledge? Use your tongue like a pole vault. It’s janky in that old-school N64 way, but once you get the hang of it, swinging around levels feels surprisingly smooth. The worlds are colorful and just the right amount of bizarre, with enemies that look like they escaped from a Saturday morning cartoon.
