Play Chester Cheetah - Wild Wild Quest Online
Guide Chester Cheetah through side-scrolling levels, jump across platforms, collect Cheetos bags, and piece together a treasure map to reach the final stage.
Chester Cheetah: Wild Wild Quest came out for the Super Nintendo in 1993, developed by Kaneko. It was part of that wave of games based on advertising mascots, a trend that was pretty common on the SNES. You play as the Cheetos spokes-cheetah, which is exactly as strange as it sounds, but it fits right in with the platform's eclectic library.
You control Chester through a series of side-scrolling levels, running and jumping across platforms while collecting bags of Cheetos and pieces of a treasure map. The main goal is to gather all the map fragments to reach the final stage. Signature mechanics include a pounce attack to defeat enemies, screen by screen exploration with some branching paths, and a lives system that feels pretty generous compared to other games from that time. The pacing is quick, levels are short, and you can tackle many of them in a non-linear order. It feels like a straightforward, slightly goofy platformer that doesn't take itself too seriously.
