Game Overview

Okay, so Chip to Dale no Daisakusen 2—or Rescue Rangers 2 if you grew up outside Japan—is one of those NES sequels that actually improves on the original. You’re still tossing apples and dodging enemy gadgets as Chip or Dale, but now the controls feel tighter, and some levels get seriously creative (wait until you hit the toy store stage).

The big twist? You can pick up anything, including your co-op partner if you’re playing with a friend. Yeah, hurling Dale at a robot never gets old. It’s got that same Disney charm as the first game, but with way more polish—though don’t let the cute graphics fool you. Some of those later levels? Brutal.

If you’ve played DuckTales or Tiny Toon Adventures, this fits right in. Just bring a buddy if you can—it’s way more fun when you’re both getting wrecked by Fat Cat’s ridiculous contraptions.
