Chuck Rock Disk 2 is the second part of the 1991 Amiga platformer from Core Design and Virgin Games. It arrived during a time when the Amiga was home to many colorful, cartoonish adventures, and this one fit right in with its prehistoric slapstick style. The game continues the story from the first disk, picking up right where Chuck left off in his quest.

You control Chuck Rock, a stout caveman who must rescue his kidnapped wife Ophelia from the clutches of the villainous Gary Gritter. Chuck moves through side-scrolling levels, using his large belly to bash enemies and obstacles out of the way. He can also pick up and throw rocks, either to attack foes from a distance or to stack them as makeshift platforms to reach higher areas. The pacing is brisk, with each screen presenting a new environmental puzzle or enemy encounter, and the difficulty can be unforgiving if you misjudge a jump or an attack. Playing it feels like a mix of careful planning and quick reactions, as you navigate hazards and outsmart dinosaurs with whatever you can find.
