Game Overview

Ever played one of those GBA games that just oozes charm from every pixel? Cinnamon Game Series 2: Yume no Daibouken is exactly that—a weird little adventure where you bounce between floating islands, push blocks in just the right way, and meet characters that look like they escaped from a children’s storybook. The first time I booted it up, I wasn’t expecting much, but five minutes in, I was grinning at how perfectly it nails that "weird-but-cozy" GBA vibe.

It’s got that Kirby-ish floaty jump feel, but with more puzzles—like figuring out how to stack mushrooms to reach a high ledge or dodging giant rolling watermelons (because of course there are giant rolling watermelons). The music’s all chippy and cheerful, and the colors pop even on an original GBA screen. Not gonna lie, some of the later levels get sneaky hard, but in that way where you keep retrying just to see what silly thing happens next.

If you’ve got a soft spot for forgotten GBA oddities, this one’s a total delight. Just don’t blame me when you start humming the soundtrack for days.
