Coconuts was released for the Atari 2600 in 1982 by Spectravision. It was one of those simple, straightforward games that fit right in with the era's focus on quick, repeatable arcade-style experiences.

You control a small character at the bottom of the screen, moving left and right to avoid coconuts dropped by a monkey perched above. The main objective is to survive as long as possible while the monkey gradually increases the speed and frequency of its throws. If a coconut hits you, you lose one of your protective items; lose them all, and it's game over. The pacing starts slow but quickly becomes frantic, demanding sharp reflexes and constant attention. It feels tense and immediate, like trying to dodge rain in a storm that only gets heavier.
