Game Overview

Colossus Bridge X came out for the Amiga in 1992, developed by a small team whose name escapes me now. It was one of those puzzle platformers that felt right at home on the system, sitting alongside other thoughtful, visually polished games of the era. You donโ€™t hear much about it these days, but it had a quiet charm that stuck with me.

You control a small explorer moving screen by screen across elaborate, collapsing bridges. The goal is to reach the exit on each level by pulling levers to extend pathways, avoiding spikes and enemies, and sometimes backtracking to use keys. The parallax scrolling gave everything a nice sense of depth, and finding hidden bonus stages felt genuinely rewarding. It moves at a deliberate pace, demanding patience and timing more than quick reflexes. Playing it feels like slowly untangling a knot; each solved screen brings a quiet, steady satisfaction.
