Game Overview

International Bridge Contractors is one of those weirdly addictive DOS-era business sims where you’re basically a cutthroat bridge tycoon. You start with a tiny construction company and have to bid against AI opponents (or friends, if you can convince anyone to play a 1984 text-based game with you).

The real tension comes from balancing your budget—do you blow all your cash on research for better bridges, or play it safe and underbid everyone? Random disasters like labor strikes or material shortages keep things chaotic. I lost three games in a row before realizing you should always keep emergency funds for when concrete prices suddenly triple.

It’s surprisingly deep for something that runs on green text. First one to hit half a billion wins, but good luck getting there without going bankrupt from a poorly timed typhoon.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
