Game Overview
Super Contra (or "Super C" if you grew up with the US version) is that classic NES sequel where everything's just a little meaner—more bullets, weirder aliens, and levels that somehow feel even more cramped than the first game. It's got that same run-and-gun chaos as the original Contra, but with some stages the arcade version never had. The first level tricks you into thinking it's straightforward, then suddenly you're dodging giant rolling spiked balls while those crab-robot things snipe at you from the background. Still one of the best co-op experiences on the NES, even if your friend always steals the spread gun pickup.
