Game Overview

Bridge Olympiad is one of those old-school MS-DOS card games that somehow makes bidding feel intense. It’s from 1993, back when Taiwan wasn’t exactly known for global game releases, so that alone makes it kind of a weird little piece of history. You’re basically playing competitive bridge against AI opponents who range from "clueless" to "annoyingly good"—no fancy graphics, just solid card logic and a surprisingly decent tutorial if you’re new to the game.

First few hands, you’ll be figuring out the interface (it’s all keyboard commands, because of course it is), but once you get the hang of it, the AI actually puts up a decent challenge. The music’s forgettable, but the gameplay holds up if you’re into classic card games. Definitely more fun with a real partner, but hey, it was the ‘90s—what else were you gonna do, call someone on your landline?

If you dig obscure retro games or just really love bridge, this one’s worth a look. Just don’t expect any flashy animations.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
