Game Overview

Ever wanted to sit in the captain’s chair of a Star Trek ship without actually having to deal with Klingons in real life? This Sega 32X sim lets you do just that—command a starship, bark orders at your crew, and try not to get blown up by Romulans. The controls take a minute to figure out (why is everything mapped to the weirdest buttons?), but once you get the hang of it, you’re juggling shields, weapons, and navigation like a stressed-out Picard.

It’s not just about blasting things—you actually have to think. Do you divert power to engines and run, or go all-in on phasers and hope for the best? The bridge chatter and retro graphics give it that classic Trek vibe, even if the voice acting sounds like it was recorded in a tin can. If you’ve ever yelled “Fire photon torpedoes!” at your TV, this might be your jam.

Just don’t expect it to hold your hand. You’ll crash into a few asteroids before you stop embarrassing yourself in front of Starfleet Command.
