Play Tempo Online
You play as a hyperactive grasshopper bouncing through psychedelic levels, dodging disco-themed enemies and unlocking ridiculous dance attacks to save music from a tone-deaf king. The controls are slippery, but nailing a combo while your butterfly backup dancer annihilates enemies feels oddly satisfying.

So Tempo is this weird little Sega 32X game where you play as a grasshopper trying to save music from some tone-deaf king named Dirge. Honestly, the plot makes zero sense—why is a guy who hates music ruling Planet Rythmia?—but who cares when you're bouncing around to funky beats.
It's a side-scroller with these trippy, colorful levels where you hop on mushrooms and dodge enemies that look like they escaped from a disco nightmare. The best part? You can grab dance power-ups and summon a butterfly friend who literally defeats bad guys by busting out dance moves. It's as ridiculous as it sounds, and I love it.
There are only seven levels, but each one has its own weird musical theme, like jazz or techno. The controls take a second to get used to—Tempo slides around a bit—but once you get the hang of it, bouncing to the rhythm feels surprisingly satisfying. Just don't expect it to make any more sense by the end.
