Play Spider-Man - Web Of Fire Online

Swinging feels janky at first, but once you get the rhythm, you’re thwipping between buildings and punching goons with that sweet '90s comic flair. The villains hit hard, and those pixel explosions still look great.

Game Overview

Spider-Man: Web of Fire came out in 1996 for the Sega 32X, a system that was already on its way out. Sega published it, and it was one of the last games made for the add-on. It arrived quietly, a side-scrolling beat 'em up that felt like a product of its time, with big sprites and a comic book aesthetic that tried to capture the energy of the character.

You control Spider-Man through a series of urban levels, moving from left to right. Your main goal is to fight through waves of enemies, like the Beetle's armored thugs, to reach the end of each stage and confront a boss. The signature mechanics are your web-swinging, which you use to traverse gaps or avoid hazards, and a variety of punch and kick combos for close combat. The pacing is fast, and the difficulty is unforgiving; enemies attack relentlessly and can quickly drain your health. It feels like a challenging, straightforward brawler where timing your jumps and attacks is everything.
