Game Overview
Commando on NES is one of those games that looks simple until you actually play it. You start off with just a rifle and a handful of grenades, but the screen quickly fills with enemies—some charging straight at you, others hiding behind trees or popping out of bunkers. The grenades are a lifesaver (literally) since you can lob them over obstacles, but you'll constantly be scrounging for more. The terrain actually matters here—rivers split the battlefield, bridges become choke points, and those trees aren't just decoration. It's brutal but weirdly satisfying when you finally clear a level after a dozen tries.
