Download Conan The Cimmerian_Disk2 ROM – Amiga Game
Action-adventure game with RPG elements. Features three game modes: overland travel, town exploration, and vertical combat. Real-time sword combat with three fighting styles. Includes interactive towns with shops, NPCs, and training opportunities. Released in 1991 for Amiga.
Conan: The Cimmerian starts with one of those classic revenge setups—your village gets wrecked, your wife’s murdered, and suddenly you’re a very angry barbarian with a sword. The story’s simple but effective: track down the wizard who ruined your life, cutting through anyone dumb enough to get in your way.
You’ll spend most of your time bouncing between three views: an overworld map (where you pick towns to travel to), a side-scrolling town screen (where you kick in doors and harass locals), and one-on-one combat (which is basically just two guys swinging swords at each other until someone dies). No blocking, no fancy footwork—just pure aggression. At first, your moveset is painfully basic, but if you track down a sword master, you can learn some flashier techniques.
The towns feel alive in that old-school way—temples give you quests, shops sell better gear, and inns patch you up. Half the fun is barging into random houses to loot them, though sometimes you’ll pick a fight with the wrong guy and end up face-down in the dirt. It’s rough around the edges, but there’s something satisfying about the sheer brutality of it all.
Just don’t expect deep RPG mechanics. This is Conan at his most straightforward: see enemy, hit enemy, repeat.
