Play Confrontation Online
You and a buddy push blocky units across a grid, trying to sneak past each other’s defenses—one wrong move and your base is gone. Simple, janky, and weirdly tense once you’re in the thick of it.

Game Overview
Confrontation is one of those Atari 2600 games that looks simple at first—just a grid, some blocky units, and two bases—but gets surprisingly tense once you start playing. You and a friend each control a little squad, trying to outmaneuver each other to capture the opponent’s base. The controls are basic (this is the 2600), but there’s a weirdly satisfying rhythm to moving your units, flanking, and trying to predict what the other player’s going to do next.
It’s definitely a product of its time—no fancy graphics or AI here—but that’s part of the charm. The best moments come from those split-second decisions where you realize too late that you left your base undefended or accidentally walked into an ambush. Not as famous as Combat or Warlords, but if you’ve got a buddy and a competitive streak, it’s a solid way to kill half an hour.
