Cosmo Gang: The Puzzle came out for the Super Nintendo in 1992, developed and published by Namco. It was part of that early wave of SNES puzzle games that leaned more on charm and quick thinking than complex mechanics.
You control a small ship at the bottom of the screen, shooting colored Cosmo Gang aliens that descend from above. The main goal is to clear the screen by matching three or more aliens of the same color; you do this by rotating clusters of aliens with your shots before they pile up too high. The game speeds up steadily, and managing the falling patterns without letting them reach the bottom creates a real sense of pressure. It feels like a race against the screen filling up, and pulling off a last-second clear is always satisfying.
