Counter Run is one of those simple-but-addictive arcade maze games where you're steering a little car around, trying to scoop up all the fruit while avoiding this annoying rival driver who keeps getting in your way. Crash into them and you lose a life—three strikes and you're out, though you can always continue.
The controls take a second to get used to—you can speed up or reverse, but no turning while backing up (which led to some very clumsy wall bumps my first few tries). The mazes get trickier as you go, with some walls you can actually drive over and random bonus items popping up. It's got that classic "just one more try" feel when you barely miss the last piece of fruit.
Honestly, that rival car is the worst—but in a good, makes-you-grit-your-teeth way.
