Cracked came out in 1988 for the Atari 2600, a late release for the aging console. I don't recall who made it, but it fits right in with that era's experimental, sometimes oddball games. It doesn't try to dazzle you; it just drops you into its own little world of blocky puzzles and tension.

You control a small square character navigating maze-like screens made of destructible blocks. Your goal is to break through walls to reach the exit, but you have to choose carefully: some blocks vanish safely when touched, while others collapse and crush you if you pick the wrong one. The game progresses screen by screen, each a self-contained puzzle of risk and route-finding. It moves at a deliberate pace, demanding patience and observation more than quick reflexes.
