Crazy Frog Racer came out for the Nintendo DS in 2005, published by Digital Jesters. It was part of that wave of licensed games trying to cash in on novelty characters, a common sight on the handheld at the time. You take control of the Crazy Frog himself, or one of several other oddball characters, in a series of frantic kart races.
The goal is simple: finish first. You drift around tight corners, hit boost pads on the track, and use a variety of wacky power-ups to sabotage opponents, like dropping banana peels or launching disco bombs. The dual screens are used for a split view; the top shows the main action while the bottom displays a map or your current item. The races are fast and the AI can be brutally cheap, often rubber-banding to catch up no matter how well you drive. It feels like controlled mayhem, a silly and occasionally frustrating distraction best played in short bursts.
