Crime City is one of those classic arcade brawlers where you play as two cops cleaning up the streets—except the streets are absolutely overrun. Like, every alley has guys with knives, and half the cars are probably stolen. You’ve got Tony and Raymond (who, let’s be honest, look like they walked out of an ‘80s action movie) busting through six stages packed with thugs, smugglers, and the occasional hostage situation.
What I love is how messy it gets—you’re ducking behind trash cans, flipping over barrels, and grabbing whatever weapon’s lying around (baseball bats, knives, even a gun if you’re lucky). The gang leaders hide at the end of each stage, and they don’t go down easy. Play it solo or team up with a friend, but either way, expect a lot of punching, dodging, and maybe a few cheap hits from enemies who just won’t stay down.
It’s not fancy, but there’s something satisfying about clearing a screen full of goons with a well-timed jump kick. Just watch out for the guys with pipes.
