Game Overview

Dames Simulator is basically checkers for the Amiga, but with a few nice touches. You pick your color (black or white, obviously), then dive into a game against the computer—which, honestly, can be brutal if you crank up the difficulty. There are nine levels, so whether you're just messing around or trying to sweat through a serious match, it's got you covered.

What I like is that you can tweak the AI’s playstyle—go defensive if you want a slower, careful game, or pick offensive for something more aggressive. And yeah, you can save mid-game, which is great because sometimes you just need to walk away after losing three pieces in a row. There’s even a hint button when you’re totally stuck, though I’ll admit I’ve ignored its advice and regretted it more than once.

It’s checkers, but with enough options to keep it interesting if you’re into that kind of thing.
