Game Overview
Dark Seed is one of those creepy adventure games that sticks with you—mostly because half the backgrounds look like they crawled out of an H.R. Giger sketchbook. You play as Mike, a guy who just wanted a quiet house to write in, but of course, the suspiciously cheap mansion he buys turns out to be a gateway to some seriously messed-up alternate dimension.
The first night there, you pass out and wake up with this gnarly alien parasite growing in your brain. Now you’ve got three in-game days to figure out how to stop it before… well, let’s just say the "bad ending" is appropriately horrifying. The puzzles are tough (sometimes unfairly so), but the atmosphere is thick enough to keep you hooked—even when you’re stuck staring at Giger’s biomechanical nightmare fuel for way too long.
If you like your point-and-click adventures with a heavy dose of existential dread, this one’s a cult classic for a reason.
