Dark Seed on the Amiga is one of those weird, unsettling point-and-click adventures that sticks with you. You play as this guy who moves into a creepy old house, only to realize there’s a whole other nightmare world lurking in his dreams—or is it real? The art style is straight from H.R. Giger’s nightmares (literally, he designed some of it), so expect lots of biomechanical horror and surreal landscapes.

Puzzles can be brutal, and the time limit adds this constant low-level stress—mess up too much, and your character loses his mind. I remember getting stuck for ages trying to figure out what to do with a random pocket watch. Still, there’s something weirdly compelling about the whole thing, even when it’s frustrating. Not for the faint of heart, but if you like your adventure games dark and bizarre, it’s a trip.
