Okay, so Darkman on NES is one of those weird licensed games that actually tries something interesting. You play as the scientist-turned-vigilante from the movie, bandaged face and all, hopping between rooftops and beating up mobsters. The twist? You steal their faces.
Seriously—there's this first-person photography minigame where you snap pics of enemies to make masks. Get a good shot, and your disguise lasts longer in the next level. Mess it up, and you're back to being a mummy with a target on your back. The platforming's clunky (it's an NES game, after all), but the whole face-swapping gimmick makes it stand out. Just don't expect the rage-induced super strength from the movie to save you from cheap hits.
