Play David Crane's Amazing Tennis Online
Pick lefty or righty, then feel the difference as you slice and smash across clay, grass, or hardcourt—those top seeds won’t go easy on you.
David Crane's Amazing Tennis on SNES is one of those sports games that actually gets the feel of tennis right. You start by picking your player—left or right-handed, which actually makes a difference—and then choose between exhibition matches or a full 16-player tournament. The higher-ranked opponents are brutal, so don’t expect to breeze through.
The courts play differently too—grass, clay, or hard—and you’ll notice the ball bouncing a little faster or slower depending on where you’re playing. Serving puts you up close to the net, which feels oddly intense, and you’ve got all the real shots: topspin, slices, drop shots, even overhead smashes if you time it right. The Footlocker endorsement is random, but hey, at least the game’s got style.
It’s simple enough to pick up, but good luck mastering those volleys.
