Play Destruction Derby Online
You aim for the Bowl and forget racing—cars crumple as you ram them sideways, steering gets sloppy, and you’re just trying to be the last wreck still moving. Split-screen turns it into a shoving match with friends.

Destruction Derby came out in 1996 for MS-DOS, developed by Psygnosis. It was one of those games that felt right at home on the platform, offering straightforward, high-impact fun without a lot of fuss. You didn't need a powerhouse PC to run it, and it captured that mid-90s vibe where racing games started experimenting with more than just clean laps and perfect lines.
You control a demolition derby car, and the goal is simple: survive. In the main event, the Bowl, you drive around an arena trying to wreck other cars while avoiding too much damage yourself. Steering becomes heavier as your car takes hits, and your radiator can fail if you take too many head-on collisions. The game moves fast, and the difficulty ramps up quickly as more aggressive drivers target you. It feels chaotic and physical, like you're really behind the wheel of a battered sedan just trying to outlast everyone else.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
