Play Dezaemon BS-X Shooting Online
Create your own shoot 'em up levels, dodge enemy fire, blast through waves of foes, and design everything from ships to music in Dezaemon BS-X Shooting on SNES.
Dezaemon BS-X Shooting came out in 1996 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, developed by Athena. It was a late release for the SNES, arriving when many players were already looking toward newer consoles, but it offered something genuinely different for the time. Instead of just being a game to play, it was a toolset, a way to create your own shoot 'em up experiences right on the console.
You control a small ship, moving it to avoid enemy fire and projectiles while shooting down waves of opponents. The main objective is to survive each stage, defeating bosses and progressing through your own designed levels. The signature mechanics are its creation tools: you draw your own sprites for ships and enemies, design attack patterns and stage layouts, and even compose simple music tracks. The pacing and difficulty are entirely up to you, based on how you build the game. It feels like having a tiny, quirky game development studio running on a Super Nintendo.
